In implementation of the instructions of Professor Dr. Ahmed Taha - Chairman of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation, to the officials of the Authority's branches in the governorates to promote the culture of quality in healthcare services and to introduce the benefits provided by the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project for beneficiaries, the Authority's branch in South Sinai organized an educational seminar at the hospitality venue of the Huwaytat tribe in Wadi Al-Tour. This seminar aimed to introduce the Authority's standards necessary for accrediting healthcare facilities before their inclusion in the Comprehensive Health Insurance System, as well as to inform about the advantages enjoyed by beneficiaries of this system, which is considered one of the most important national projects implemented by the state to ensure that Egyptians receive high-quality healthcare services that comply with international standards in the fields of diagnosis and treatment.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hay, Director General of the Authority's branch in South Sinai, Dr. Ashraf Al-Ansari, Administrative Control Officer for healthcare facilities at the branch, Mr. Karim Ibrahim Abdel Ghani, Medical Professions Registration Officer at the branch, Mr. Ahmed Hilal, Field Coordinator, and a number of sheikhs and youth from the tribes.
During the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hay reviewed the objectives of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System and the role of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation in ensuring the quality of healthcare services provided, which enhances the safety and security of service recipients and facilitates access to it with the same efficiency and effectiveness at all times.
For his part, Sheikh Awda Abu Afnan, the official spokesperson for the Huwaytat tribe in Al-Tour, praised the Comprehensive Health Insurance System, considering it one of the greatest achievements of the Egyptian state that has a significant impact on the lives of citizens.
Sheikh Khalil Ibrahim, the governmental chief of the Huwaytat tribe in South Sinai, indicated that the vast majority of the Bedouins of Sinai have already opened medical files for them at family medicine units and have joined the system out of conviction that the Comprehensive Health Insurance System is the beginning of a healthier life for them and their families.
Sheikh Suleiman Eid, the chief of the Huwaytat tribe in Al-Tour, pointed out that the most distinguishing feature of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System is that it does not differentiate between the rich and the poor in providing healthcare services, which contributes to increasing citizen satisfaction with the system.
The seminar was supervised by Dr. Hosam Abu Sati, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Authority, Dr. Wael Al-Darandali, a member of the Authority's Board of Directors, and Dr. Said Mahmoud, the Authority's advisor for branch affairs.
