According to Egypt Vision 2030 and the state's interest in enhancing the quality of healthcare services in accordance with international specifications and standards..... and in implementation of the instructions and directives of Professor Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR), to the officials of the Authority's branches to carry out continuous visits to healthcare facilities currently being registered and accredited, and to follow up on the procedures being taken and provide the necessary support to all healthcare facilities wishing to register and be accredited by the Authority, considering them a key and essential partner in improving the level of healthcare services provided to patients.
The team from the GAHAR branch in Aswan visited the "Magdi Yacoub Foundation - Heart Center in Aswan," which has obtained registration from the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR), to discuss a number of common goals and ways to cooperate between the Authority and the Foundation.
During the visit, the Authority's team, headed by Dr. Rehab Ali, Director General of the branch in Aswan, inspected the departments and met with patients and service providers to ensure their well-being and the level of healthcare services provided.
The team from the Magdi Yacoub Foundation reviewed the steps for applying quality and safety standards in preparation for accreditation by the Authority, and implementing a program to evaluate the patient experience after each medical service received by the patient at the Foundation, in order to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve a distinguished level of services, in addition to the training and continuous education unit at the Foundation and utilizing the latest methods and means of remote education and training.
The Foundation's team also explained the plan to transform into a green healthcare facility that is environmentally friendly, focusing on the safe disposal of hazardous medical waste and its destruction within the facility using the latest shredding and destruction devices to achieve zero carbon.
In a related context, the team from the GAHAR branch in Aswan conducted a reconnaissance visit to the "German Evangelical Mission Hospital," which is currently undergoing registration procedures with the Authority, aiming to introduce the Authority's vision and goals and discuss the pillars of establishing the objectives of the comprehensive health insurance system to elevate healthcare services to the highest level according to global quality standards.
